"Madison" 2006 special Sail South

We are planning something a little special for June & July 2006, on board Madison our 50ft offshore yacht. She has 3 private guest cabins all en-suite plus separate crew cabin. Madison is leaving Plymouth heading south for Lagos (Portugal).

The cruise will take us around the Biscay coast  along the north Spanish coast and finally down the Portuguese coast to the Algarve. The trip will consist of  6 legs each of one week, which will tie in with airports with low cost airlines ( flights of £60 to £130). Each leg will vary from 150 to 250 miles except for week 1 giving time to visit some of the lovely ports, rias, Islands and beaches. You can of course stay on for more than one leg and enjoy the variations of each trip, and get 10% discount on extra weeks.

Week 1.  9th June to 17th June 9 days Plymouth to Bilbao.

This leg will be for those people keen to spend some time at sea as we will cover some 500 miles. Starting from Plymouth going to Falmouth to get to know your way around Madison then across the channel and the bay of Biscay only making one or two stops.

Week 2.  18th June to 24th June 7days Bilbao to La Corun?a.

The Northern Spanish coast hides some of its most unspoiled fishing ports and treasured villages. This leg should not be rushed.

Week 3.  25th June to 1st  July 7 days La Corun?a to Villagarcia.

This voyage around Finisterre will visit some of the rias Bajas and Altas, famed throughout Spain for their outstanding natural beauty and nature reserves.

Week 4.  2nd July to 8th July 7 days Villagarcia to Porto.

This leg from the rias of Spain takes us to the port wine city of  Porto in Portugal and hopefully a visit to the magical Islas Cies at the head of the Ria Vigo.

Week 5.  9th July to 15th July 7 days Porto to Lisbon.

Heading south down the Atlantic coast of Portugal to the port of Lisbon with its resident pod of dolphins and famous city.

Week 6. 16th July to 22rd July 7 days Lisbon to Lagos or Faro.

The final leg is still pushing south to Sines then around Cabo de Sao Vicente to the Argarve to Lagos and then Faro for the airport.

Per leg: Two people sharing a cabin per person £395.

One person in own cabin £495.  

All cabins have their own heads with shower. 10% discount on second week.

Price includes:  wet weather gear; breakfast & lunch on board and evening meal when unable to go ashore.
